About the Author

As a little girl, English class was always my favorite. There was something about being given a topic and pulling all the pieces together creatively that sparked so much joy in me. In my young adult years, writing became an essential way to cope with emotions that felt too hard to communicate out loud. Even today, you’ll always find me with a spiral notebook (yes, it has to be spiral!), sticky notes tucked everywhere, or a notepad app on my phone loaded down with ideas for stories.

Today, I hold a career in mental health within government, where I advocate for systemic change that supports youth, young adults, and families. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and am currently pursuing a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology, with a focus on leadership and macro-level change. Working at the intersection of individual healing and big-picture advocacy has deeply shaped the heart behind my writing.

When the little ones closest to me started asking big, thoughtful questions, I found myself inspired to write stories that could answer those questions in ways their growing minds could truly grasp. In addition to personal inspiration, my professional experiences with families, educators, and clinicians have motivated me to create books that open up important conversations. My stories are designed to support social-emotional learning and help build strong foundations of emotional intelligence in even the youngest readers.

My debut children’s book, Wild Monkey Brothers, marks the beginning of a fun and meaningful series. The Wild Monkey Brothers collection will follow their adventures, the lessons they learn, and the heartwarming (and sometimes hilarious!) ways they grow along the way. I'm so excited for readers to meet these characters and see what kinds of wild, wonderful things they get into next!

At the heart of everything I do is a love for giving back, especially through mentoring others. I believe deeply in lifting others up and encouraging them to chase their dreams. For anyone who feels called to write and publish a book, my biggest advice is this: just start writing. Don’t stress about piecing the whole thing together at first—you can shape and refine it later. Be persistent in your pursuit to publish, and trust that whether it takes you two weeks or two years, your story is absolutely worth sharing with the world.

Faith is a huge part of my life—it’s what grounds me, grows me, and reminds me daily of the power of love, grace, and imagination. When I’m not writing, you’ll likely find me baking something sweet, hanging out with the kiddo crew in my life (any excuse to catch the newest Disney movie in theaters!), or dreaming up new stories. Fun fact: while I’ve always loved to write, if you toss me an energy drink and a cozy sweater, the creative magic is almost guaranteed to happen.

Through storytelling, I hope to spark imagination, encourage connection, and help children navigate the world around them with wonder, courage, and heart.
